Hi, I’m Piotr Sakowski (PioterekS) — a developer who prefers building practical tools over leaving ideas in notebooks. I split my time between crafting web utilities, integrating data feeds, and maintaining the small projects that power this site.

✨ Linux Rules the World ✨
My personal credo since always.

Tooling & Stack

  • Languages: I use Python for data wrangling and automation, JavaScript/React for UI glue, and Bash scripts when Linux nostalgia from the 90s kicks in or when a CI/CD pipeline needs to be done.
  • Frameworks and Libraries: JavaScript, React, React Native, Vite, Tailwind.
  • Data Work: SQLite and Postgres for persistence, a pile of APIs, and custom cache layers when latency matters. I also know Oracle very well.

You can browse more experiments and utilities in my GitHub repos at https://github.com/piotereks — everything from ESP dictionary helpers to VCF generators lives there.

Background & Approach

  • I started with Linux boxes in the 90s, microcontrollers/assembler, and never stopped experimenting. That curiosity grew into a career stitching together databases, backend services, and frontend dashboards.
  • I enjoy system integrations where hardware, APIs, and UI all meet. These projects usually start out of curiosity or as quick fixes to my own problems that I refine into polished tools others can rely on.
