Statistics#

The Statistics screen shows a time-series chart of historical parking availability for both GreenDay and Uni Wroc.

Chart Overview#

The chart plots free parking spaces over time. Two lines are drawn:

Interacting with the Chart#

Zooming#

• Scroll (or pinch on touch devices) to zoom in/out on the time axis.
• Use the zoom slider at the bottom of the chart to pan and zoom.
• Zoom state is preserved when you switch colour palettes.

Tooltip#

• Hover (or tap) over the chart to see exact values for both parking lots at a given time.

Colour Palette Selector#

The Palette selector in the header (visible on wider screens) lets you choose from four built-in colour schemes:

Color Vision Mode override: When a non-normal color vision mode is selected in Settings, the chart automatically switches to a CB-aware palette regardless of the palette selector. The CB palette is derived from the active color-blindness mode and current theme (light/dark).

Event Crossings#

The chart displays vertical lines that mark specific moments; each colour has a defined meaning:

• Orange: time when GreenDay (GD) free spaces reached zero.
• Red: time when both GreenDay and Uni have no free places (total free = 0).
• Blue: time when the first places free up in GreenDay — a “risky” reopening where freed places may be quickly taken.
• Green: time when sufficient free capacity expected to remain available.

These event lines correspond to the prediction types surfaced in the Predictions panel. The app shows four prediction tiles that summarize upcoming events:

Predictions panel#

The Predictions panel displays ‘predictions’ label with the full weekday name. For example: Predictions for Monday.

• GD=0 — predicted time when GreenDay is expected to reach zero free spaces.
• All=0 — predicted time when total free spaces (both locations) are expected to reach zero.
• Try — predicted time when a small number of places are expected to become available.
• Safe — predicted time when a more stable amount of free capacity is expected.

Each prediction tile displays the event time formatted as hh:mm. When a predicted time is within two hours, a live minute-countdown is shown on the tile and updates in real time; the countdown window is two hours by default. The times shown are the model’s median estimates. When the current time passes the predicted value the countdown disappears and the tile shows the difference between actual and estimated time in the format Δ ±N mins (for example, Δ+5 mins means the event occurred 5 minutes later than predicted; Δ-3 mins means it occurred 3 minutes earlier).
